    It really cuts my gears into pieces reading posts like this where people just take things without checking. My last resort is to go search if its true.

    IDGAF if it looks like penis, the Latin name is Megaloblatta longipennis. Longi is the inflexion of longus which means long. Pennis is the inflection of penna which can mean feather, wing or fin.

    So “longwings”
