It was only able to post a $409 million profit in the quarter thanks to the sale of $595 million worth of regulatory credits to other automakers.

But if the Trump administration gets its way, the company can kiss those regulatory credits keeping it in the black goodbye, too.

    Bwahahaha.

You mean just maybe Tesla isn’t worth more than all other car makers combined. I can’t believe it.

“We’ve gone through many a crisis over the years and actually been… on the ragged edge of death – at least, maybe a dozen times,” he told investors on the conference call Tuesday. “This is not one of those times. We’re not on the ragged edge of death, not even close. There are some challenges and I expect that this year will be probably be some unexpected bumps this year but I remain extremely optimistic about the future of the company.”

I was wondering why the stock price got so much air in the last few days. He got on the phone with his tech bro stock holders and promised miracles. But… Full Self Drive is a joke, there aren’t any new models being developed, the cyber truck is a disaster, and he’s outted himself as a mother fucking Nazi. It may take a while but his bag of tricks is running close to empty and being a ketamine junky isn’t helping him.

Don’t worry, he will angel invest in something else, force the owners out, and steal the idea soon enough. You don’t change what works.

when he’s doing nazi salutes and actively dismantling the US, I think it’s safe to say he’s just a nazi. People buying Teslas are nazi supporters.

Fair enough. I was trying to avoid the “sparkling fascism unless it’s 1930s Germany” argument that I’ve seen made before.

That joke once got someone 35 karma, and hundreds of people think that we need to be continuously reminded of it. Just like:

“Conservatism needs 2 things to be true”

“blah blah I award you no points and may God have mercy on your soul.”

Look, I was going to make a long list of annoying copypasta but I’m “functioning” on 2 1/2 hrs of sleep, so I may need to crowdsource. But we all know the ones, you read 2/3 of a sentence and recognize what it is and scream “God FUCKING damnit! AGAIN?!?”

This is complicated and something you have to understand the stock market to even imagine. Certain stocks retain value way above what may be considered their value because of the propensity of other people to buy the stock. Tesla is something that falls into the realm of what people will call ‘shit beta,’ which is a stock that only has value because people know that it is volatile and will therefore have value. It’s hard to explain, but think about it as a diamond or a Birkin bag - it’s valuable because people think it’s valuable, way beyond what it’s actually worth. And as long as people think that it’s going to be worth one dollar more than it’s actually worth right now, they’ll buy it. It’s ridiculous, but here we are.

It’s really outrageous that it’s illegal to sell snap benefits, but Tesla can make like half of its income off of doing nothing but selling regulatory credits to other auto makers, and it’s also the only thing that is allowing them to stay afloat right now it seems like.

They are getting wrecked because the CEO is a Nazi schatze and other companies are innovating in a practical, deliverable manner and not selling vaporware.

That’s a good one-two punch in the grapes for any company.

We’re not on the ragged edge of death, not even close.

Musk is very confident that they’re not on the “ragged edge of death”. So they’re definitely on the ragged edge of death.
