Vitamin D tends to bind to the iron in multivitamins, cancelling out the effects of both. I don’t know if the same goes for other combinations, but it’s probably safer to get vitamins from normal food.

Vitamins are barely regulated and don’t have to pass the standard of “generally recognized as safe and effective”. Because of that we don’t even have a ton of data on the effectiveness of multivitamins, but one of the things that we do know is most of the vitamins are just pissed out because they need cofactors to be properly absorbed. If you truly can’t get nutrients from a healthy diet then they are better than nothing but healthy diet is still the number one priority.

Doctors sometimes recommend them because “they can’t hurt” but that doesn’t mean they are actually helpful

Put some sweet pea pods and chopped green onions into your ramen. Doesn’t add much time or effort but adds tons of flavor.

My grandma ate like shit afaik and died young from a series of diabetic strokes. So maybe, maybe not.

Yeah, fruits contain sugar, and it’s established that some vitamins increase the risk of cancer.

I had to stop eating ramen. I tried my hardest, but I could not for the life of me find a whole grain ramen that was affordable (the whole point of eating ramen). So instead I use whole grain spaghetti noodles and veggie broth. I miss the squigglies. 🥺

I have learned that even whole grain noodles can be microwaved though, so that’s cool. Works a lot better for penne, cause spaghetti noodles tend to clump together more.

Oh, and lifehack I guess: Just keep a supply of frozen veggies and add those to your ramen.

I just had mine with half a tin of corn and a can of tomato tuna. Desert was granola and oat milk. Of all the meals I’ve had this week, this was one of them.
