For years, KDE users had to use Virtual Machine Managers outside the KDE ecosystem, like GNOME Boxes. Now that's changing with a new native VMM in development for KDE.

I dig the name honestly. I love how consistent they are about the K.

I just hope they don’t simplify it to the point of being essentially useless like GNOME Boxes.

What features would you say Boxes is missing? When I tried it, there wasn’t anything I wanted to do and couldn’t.

I haven’t used it in so long I couldn’t tell you. I just remember it being over simplified, there were certainly things I couldn’t do, and virtual machine manager exists so I didn’t bother with it past playing around with it.

virt-manager always seemed good to me, but I’ll be interested to compare them. Maybe there are things that could be better, that I never thought about

Happy to see this coming hopefully might be eventually a decent competitor to virtmanager from Red Hat
