They cleaned up the game a lot by the end but I’m still sad it ended up more like an action game with very light RPG elements. I’d have loved a bit more depth.

I do feel it ended up a bit shallow considering all the work they put into the scaffolding, but it’s still such a solid game. I wish the devs would’ve had another few years to cook because all the core is essentially there, but with a little more tlc I think it could’ve been gta online level big and have had such a significant amount of longevity.

We all know the prologue was going to be like several hours and they got cheap and shortened it with a montage
iirc it did get proven that nothing in the montage was ever built though wording in early trailers call jackies death ‘one outcome’ so its more that he wasn’t supposed to be garaunteed to die. Most likely with the AV on the roof being an alternate exit.

It’s safe to assume that the rest of the world is equally fucked, just probably with less guns, and with electric cars instead of those CHOOH2 guzzlers.
No, the rest of the world has its problems too. The Soviet Union still exists, but it’s slowly turning into modern Russia and is basically ruled by oligarchs.
And that’s one of the better places to live. There’s a lot of places that no longer exist because they were wiped off the map or are unsafe for humans to even venture close to.
Where else can you set a game where capitalism has gone wrong and excessive amounts of guns are available?
