It’s just so heartwarming. Imagine being told 100 times over the course of 8 years that if you point a gun at your own foot and pull the trigger that you will have shot yourself in the foot. Refusing to believe that you pull the trigger, and then cry and beg for sympathy as your foot gushes blood.

The details are brutal in their simplicity. Janet Correa’s husband, unnamed in most reports, had been navigating the legal labyrinth of U.S. immigration for years. He’d done everything “right”: no crimes, no slip-ups, just backbreaking work to build a life. But when his case was dismissed in court, ICE agents were waiting in the hallway. No warning, no second chances. Expedited removal. Just like that, the man who’d poured sweat into this country was on a fast track out of it.

…caught in ICE’s revamped dragnet, where dismissals in courtrooms now double as green lights for arrests. Lawyers call it “legal but shady.” Activists call it cruelty with paperwork.

I can’t find the details on this. Anyone have an article from a reliable source?

Her tears are a reminder: When you cheer for a machine built to deport, don’t be shocked when it comes for your family, too.

    Duh.

Janet’s tears weren’t just about loss; they were the raw, ugly realization that the system she’d championed had no loyalty to people like her spouse.

There’s the root cause. Next time, don’t expect the system to have any loyalty towards anyone.

The root cause is that she believed loyalty should play any part. Dollars to donuts she still believes loyalty should matter more than meritocracy.

You should sing a song about it, Janet.

Two in the thoughts, one in the prayers.

They just wanted to immigrate and pull the ladder up behind them, freely say the n-word, own people, and be the only ones that are allowed to vote or own houses!

How can there possibly be consequences for that line of thinking?

Why didn’t anyone tell them that this was a bad idea?

the same singer who once crooned “I will vote for Donald Trump” is sobbing on camera outside a Miami immigration court, her voice cracking as she pleads, “He only works like a mule.” Her husband, a man with no criminal record, had just been snatched by ICE after a routine immigration appointment. When the news of him getting deported hit the internet, social media, ever merciless, had a field day.

This is what happens when you support evil. There are lawful deportations, this gong show is anything but.

She has made her bed, unfortunately we have to lie in it with her.

      Quotes would’ve helped. Example:

That said, it’s still pretty bad.
