Ok, I knew about that, but I thought the shadow thing referenced something more historic.
It’s a joke. It follows the groundhog story. The groundhog sees its shadow and it means we have 6 more weeks of winter. It’s just a dumb thing but this joke is based on that.

USA tradition, if the groundhog sees it’s shadow, there will be X more weeks of winter.
I think a 20 year war with the whole world would end usa.
So America gets its next war
tack it on with the rest of the wars they’ve lost.
