I didn’t like it for the longest time… you got to be just the right high to really appreciate the movie. Love it now after a friend finally sat me down.
I gave it a fair chance a few times, and I am not a fan. I was told by friends that I needed to be high to like it, which has confirmed in my head that it’s not for me. Things should be able to stand up on their own.

It’s possible the commenter had never seen the movie. Quotes do get around.
Yeah, “That’s just, like, your opinion, man” is very commonly quoted, but not the part that comes after.
If you’re throwing out quotes and have no idea where they come from that’s kind of on you.
