During the search of his property, the police found an underground nuclear shelter, which was built during the Cold War and equipped with Nazi insignia.

Usually Non-Nazis do not decorate their underground nuclear shelters with Nazi insignia.

Really? I’m going to need to give my interior decorator a call. I was assure this was where the market was headed.

I mean the market does seem to be headed that way in America…

        I read the wiki article.

Seems like he was eccentric and it was well known he had tanks since the 80’s.

A bit suss he was so passionate about Nazi memorabilia but he could also just be autistic.

Given he owned these things for nearly 30 years without incident and the local town seemed to like him (he used his tanks to clear snow after a blizzard)

I still haven’t made up my mind on if he is full blown nazi or just wealthy autistic collector.

As much as I despise nazis, and I really do, there is still value in preserving historical artefacts. Should he probably have just donated it to a museum rather than keep it in private collections? Yea, but lots of rich assholes hoard art in their private collections as dick swinging contests. The government seems more at fault for taking 30 years to remove something that seems to have been common knowledge the entire time.

Stop using autism as an excuse for naziism

I mean you’re right that it isn’t an excuse.

However there are examples of autistic people engaging in criminal behaviour without fully understanding the consequences.

What is the more likely scenario though?

              Don’t be thick my dude.

Doesn’t detail his relations or desires; but the memorabilia checks out.
