minus-square@PandaParent@lemmy.calinkfedilinkEnglish3•2 months agoWe really need legislation to address foreign media ownership in Canada. I’m not sure what the answer is but it’s ridiculous that the majority of Canadian news outlets are owned and/or funded by American investors.
A glance through all of the disinformation about PM Carney on Facebook/Twitter/Youtube tells a different story.
I agree with you that the conservatives received too much support for their shambles of a party.
Most of the news papers are owned by an American hedge fund, they have plenty of help spreading their message.
