You joke, but if you met anybody that lives in Syria about a decade ago, they would tell you this is exactly what it looks like. It’s what it looked like for people about a year and a half ago in Palestine, and it’s what it looked like to Soviet citizens in 1989. So keep making jokes, don’t believe it, whatever.
