I just wanted to sign into Mastodon on my phone in my browser but couldn’t autofill in the login data from Proton Pass. It had worked about an hour ago but suddenly doesn’t work anymore, regardless of which website or which browser I use. I reinstalled Proton Pass and checked that Autofill is on but still nothing.
Any ideas? Thank you!

KeePass is definitely the way to go here. It’s been around for a few decades at this point.
KeePass in general works well with Syncthing, too. I use multiple derivatives (OG KeePass, KeePassXC, KeePass2Android, KeePassium) on several devices, all linked via Syncthing, and haven’t had any issues. It’s faster than using a single database on Google drive, too.
Thanks I’m gonna check it out but what so far has kept me from Foss with stuff like this is that I want it to work on multiple devices and self hosting stuff seems rather technical compared to out of the box stuff like proton pass. Used bitwarden before and I’m inclined to move back there.
It is a bit technical, but it’s good learning experience as well. I don’t really trust cloud services with storing my passwords, so I use Syncthing (including a central server at home) to keep the database updated between devices.
