Some of the seven Democrats who voted for Noem say they’d now oppose her in the wake of Trump’s aggressive deportation plans and last week’s incident involving Sen. Alex Padilla.

Five days after Donald Trump’s inauguration, seven Senate Democrats voted to confirm Kristi Noem to lead the Department of Homeland Security.

Nearly 5 months later, most of them are critical of her, with some going as far as to say they regret their votes.

“I’m very disappointed. I’m very disappointed in her,” Sen. Tim Kaine, D-Va., told NBC News this week. “If I were voting on her today, I definitely wouldn’t vote for her.”

Freshman Sen. Andy Kim, D-N.J., also said he would vote differently and oppose her nomination if he could do it again.

You’re relitigating the past. You might as well blame dem voters rather than others if you’re going to do that. We are in year one of Trump’s term. We should all be going full blast on how complicit the democrats are with all of this shit. We should all be shouting at dems how fucking garbage we think their policies are, and how we won’t be wasting our time voting for them. We should be clear about what we want, and what we won’t accept. And all that is only really for people that have any hope for that party.

Why? Everyone knows Democrats are shit. How is continuing to attack them going to achieve anything? We need to be the ones to actually offer something better and viable more broadly.

If you’re still engaging with them politically, it seems like you should be attacking them in order to force them to take popular positions. If you’re just going to vote blue no matter who, then you have zero political influence.
