      I’m just guessing, but it looks like the way the bristles are arranged It would tend to throw the poop to one side at least perhaps toward a gutter?

        Like a snowplow? I guess it would work if you made a few passes but that thing isn’t very wide. Curious machine. Wonder why they wouldn’t just have it collect the dirt and poop.

          It’s a lane wide and we’re talking about a LOT of shit, mud, debris, clothes, rotting food, etc. You couldn’t be collecting it. Flinging it into the gutter was state of the art.

            In addition this was a proof of concept. Collection adds a great deal of mechanical complexity and the funders of the project may not have cared about that.

            Their tech demo was clearing a path for a patrician lady to walk without besmirching the hem of her dress.

    It’s dripping water (from the big central tank) and the roller on the back looks like it may be squeegee rubber material. Seems like more of a travelling mop, once the large items of ‘debris’ had been removed.
