The culprit was found to be Luigi Mangione. When questioned in his holding cell whether he was in Utah at the time, police noted he became “very nervous, visibly shaking”. A manifesto was found in possession.

    Case closed.

I heard they found the gun in Luigi’s backpack. He hasn’t touched the backpack in months, and he’s been locked up all this time, which only proves how diabolical he really is.

Also, don’t forget that Trump very likely fucked a child and is covering it up. Release the Epstein tapes…

Charlie Kirk. Kirk, 31, was the CEO…

    He was only 31?

Geezus. Hate really does age you. I’m over 10 years his senior, and he looks 5 years older than me. And for once, this isn’t a humble-brag.

Well according to the community forum for my crazy neighborhood it’s definitely a minority trans person who did this.

Also all mass shootings were done by trans people. Not even joking.

Trans people are like sub 1% of the us population. These guys are busy.

I really don’t understand how you can actually believe something like that. Because of my wild 20’s i happen to know a lot of trans or gay or LGBTQ people in general, or more than the average person. If they were that violent, i would know so many murderers. In reality they are just the nicest people imaginable. I get that they obviously don’t know trans people, probably have never seen one, or if they did, they didn’t even know. But even that fact should make you wonder, no? I was at work and some random guy complained about how many jews live here and why that’s a problem, and i just thought that i don’t even know any jew. I worked for one once, and every now and then i see three or four walking around, but only recognise them because they are orthodox and dress like amish people. I actually had to look it up and in and around the next city, there are only 2000 jews, like what are you on about?

WSJ is claiming that the rounds recovered from the weapon used had pro trans / “antifascist” things engraved on the bullets - make of that what you will. Generally WSJ’s reporting is factually accurate but incredibly biased, so there’s that? Fuckin’ hell though this is already such a fucking clusterfuck.

That’s completely standard in journalism - and the WSJ, despite being an aggressively horrible publication politically and morally, is quite respected for the strict veracity of it’s reporting. I don’t doubt they were told that, by a reputable source. I have no idea if it’s true beyond that however, since the trump admin isn’t exactly overflowing with decent quality human beings.

        If that’s actually the case

I can’t say I would be surprised for that to be the case.

I think it’s far more likely for it to have been one decent person who couldn’t take the constant hatred spewed by Kirk. Everyone knows this has been brewing, for it to finally pop on Mr 'Puts His Punchable Face Right Out There And Taunts You For Not Hitting Him" himself isn’t much of a surprise.

I don’t know if we can even argue that it’s disproportionate. Anywhere you go on the web, this is all anyone is talking about. It’s not media companies shoving the story down our throats - this is all the working class wants to be talking about right now. With this much public attention the response is going to be proportional to the amount of people who are paying attention to this topic.

I get that this person isn’t as important to care about compared to many many other people suffering and being killed around the world, but we can’t deny that a huge huge number of people are interested in engaging with this topic and some of them even want the shooter to be found.

Considering they went after kirk instead of a bigger fish it’s probably somebody deeply personally offended by his minimization of school shootings. That should just narrow it down to all the people who survived a school shooting or lost somebody to one. That’s a short list right?

And the conspiracy theories are are already flowing. Apparently Kirk was convinced Israel was going to assassinate him so he had more security and wore body armor during public appearances recently. Another is that he pissed off the Nazi’s to the point they wanted him gone. Another is that it was a distraction op.

It’s been a fun read the last few hours. Like “Who Shot Mr. Burns?” so…it was probably a baby.

Yeah, but the people controlling him, like some sort of geriatric meat marionette, are that smart. They are the ones putting the Executive Orders in front of this senile bag of burgers and controlling exactly what he says. The only time you get a glimpse behind the scenes is when he nervously flagilates on Live TV and doesn’t have a prompter to guide him along.

This is where that super invasive dystopian surveillance tech could really come in handy.

In Xinjiang, administrators logged people as high, medium, or low risk, often according to 100-point scores with deductions for factors like growing a beard, being 15 to 55 years old, or just being Uyghur.

Help us narrow it down from a needle in a haystack to a needle in a haystack with a predictive score based on institutional bias. Book 'em Danno!

Telecom black rooms, Flock mass AI surveillance, NSA secret catalogue of zero days… we control the internet backbone and a lot of traffic flows through our country just because it’s cheaper to route that way.

That’s why we have fusion centers right? You can’t use your fancy spy tech without people parallel constructing a plausible scenario for how someone was really caught.

Maybe they know where the shooter is right now and they’re just waiting for people to finish the story. Social media post, a call to an old friend, have a tip placed anonymously, suddenly they find him at McDonald’s.

That’s not the most dystopian surveillance tech around. It gets both more intrusive and more effective…

Think constant drone surveillance over a whole region. High res cameras, massive storage and long loiter times with glider like drones. You can just keep recording, and then when something like this happens, you just play the video back for the whole last day, following your suspect backward in time to when they left their home in the morning. The system isn’t even all that expensive to operate.

        Say goodbye to privacy.
