God made sure only Charlie Kirk was killed. It’s as if God smote Charlie in the middle of a crowd, in the middle of saying hate, and spared the onlookers.

Yeah, I don’t think that’s a good thing for fans of Charlie.

I saw some Republicans in Congress were calling him the 13th disciple of Jesus. There’s definitely an attempt to infuse religion into the mythology being constructed around him.

The doctor added that Kirk’s “bone was so healthy and the density was so so impressive that he’s like the man of steel. It should have just gone through and through. It likely would have killed those standing behind him too.”

Do people really believe these fairy tales? It’s the same absurd rhetoric they use regarding Trump. Reminds me of the rhetoric North Korea uses about Kim Jong Un

I’ve been calling MAGA a mental illness for a decade. Everything they have done, and continue to do, indicates severe logical corruption in every sense of the word, and it’s transmissible through propaganda.

That’s why the USA is cooked, for generations, and is damn near guaranteed to experience civil war &/or Christian fascist dictatorship before anything gets better. There’s no coming back from a mental illness epidemic affecting a double digit percentage of the population.

I think they’re just fucking stupid.

Not uneducated people with critical thinking skills.

Just actually, really, super fucking dumb. There is no nuance to them. Everything is black and white and only happens one way. Life is straight forward, and its hell the whole time. That’s it. That’s the end.

          Thats mah B!

I do agree though, those who are feeding the voters are insane/unreasonable and evil. And I think they know that their base is dumb enough to accept their grifting “words of wisdom.”

He was also 1,000% not shot from the front. It’s fucking insane that they’re claiming this in light of so many videos. The exit wound was downward from the left side of his neck, along with all his blood. Did it take a 90+ degree turn? Why didn’t we see it go in from the front? Feel like I’m taking crazy pills.

The wound you saw was the entry wound. Blood gushing from the entry wound is very common. According to a relative who is a forensic pathologist.

There isn’t any forensic doubt on how he was shot. The shooter was in front of him. How we are expecting gun shots and blood splatter patterns to behave is rather misinformed by movies and games.

There was immediate blood splatter on the shirt by the wound in his neck when you watch it frame by frame. It does not appear this is an entry wound like you are claiming.

This was also not the caliber they claimed. He was shot from the right side with a smaller caliber bullet.

Do you have any relevant experience? Maybe your guesses about how things should work are simply wrong, and that’s causing your problems.

Watch what happens when a bullet is fired through ballistic gel. It’s not some simple thing where a hard thing goes in one side and stuff comes out the other side.

Why didn’t we see it go in from the front? A rifle bullet travels at hundreds of metres per second. It’s not easy to see it while it is in motion unless you’re using a slow motion camera.

It’s like super man because like a comic book, this narrative is likely fiction.

It’s worth looking into at least at a superficial level what 30.06 cartridge does to humanoid test dummies. It’s practically impossible that Kirk was hit by a 30.06 round without complete painting that entire tent red.

.30-06 round weighing 180 grains leaves a 24" barrel at about 2,700 feet per second, which gives it a kinetic energy of around 2,900 ft-lbf. With this much energy, that round, if full metal jacketed, will reliably penatrate 20+ inches of ballistic gelatin, a common substitute for animal muscle tissue, and if that round is a hollow point it will reliably penatrate 16+ inches of ballistic gelatin. My neck is about 7 inches thick as an average size person. Unless a person has a cervical spine made of titanium and Kevlar, and/or are just about 4 times as dense as your average Joe, an impact by a typical hollow point .30-06 round with that speed and energy in the human neck region would most often decapitate, or nearly so, and a full metal jacketed round would easily pass clean through. In contrast, the handguns carried by many police officers, the Glock .40 S&W, firing a 180 grain round out of a 4" barrel scoots along at about 1,000 feet per second, having a muzzle energy of about 400 ft-lbf, this being the defacto gold standard for killing human beings. .30-06 is quite literally a round made for war, and is typically used to hunt large game, as it has a tendency to completely and thoroughly rapidly disassemble smaller game into unusable sized chunks.

Nothing is impossible, but not all things are likely.

a full metal jacketed round would easily pass clean through

“Clean through” is not as clean as it might sound. It would probably pass through and out the back without leaving a gaping hole, but the damage it would do to tissues as it went through would be devastating. Take a look at a FMJ handgun bullet going through ballistics gel:

        https://www.youtube.com/shorts/hlXg_H5Jr4g

If that hit someone’s neck, it might do huge amounts of damage to all the tissues there, and even though they’d snap back to roughly the same place, there would be a lot of damage. If that went through some arteries, there would be a lot of new routes for that blood to flow, and the blood is under a lot of pressure so…

No doubt about that. A hollow or soft point deposits more energy and creates a much larger temporary cavity, but a FMJ can certainly do plenty of damage. The FMJ would be much more likely to be intact, and not fragment, so “clean” is certainly a relative term in this context. Any gunshot wound is gonna be a mess, regardless of caliber or bullet type, some moreso than others.
