Darling, I’ve told you several times before. I have no dream job, I do not dream of labor.
None. I would like to just live and do projects here and there. Contribute to open source where I can. Without the need to satisfy some working hours quota. Without the need to write invoices to clients. Without the need to earn money. Just be. Help others with technical stuff. Sometimes do nothing productive for a week.
But I’ve abandoned that dream long ago and just participate in the current system part-time.
“Once per day, you will approach this console, and insert this key. Turn it, and press the red button. This will launch one billionaire, despot, or serial predator directly into the sun.”
My salary will be 0.01% of each billionaire disposed, with the rest going to feed and house the world like it fucking should.
Thank you for your service.

Hear me out: train librarian
Go on…
Some large trains have a dining car or a viewing car, or even a bar. I think true luxury would be a library car. It would not need to stock a full size catalogue, since the clientele self-selects for the idle and mildly frivolous. Your ticket becomes your library card, and in that way the value of kept books can be easily recovered. It would be a draw to tourists and commuters alike.
Being the director of, or a troubleshooter for an organization which specializes on doing the right thing and helping people. Like the fictional Phoenix Foundation from MacGyver (the old series from 1985). If you can connect me to them, please don’t hesitate.
Own and manage a farm like my grandpa used to do.
Probably growing tomato’s or something.
Some sort of handyman job where I can help people in need. But not where I’m crunching them for money or up selling them on junk they don’t need.
I would love to be able to program properly and then freelance from home.

To be successful enough in an artistic endeavour (be it music or writing or making a game or whatever), that I can just spend the rest of my life creating things while I travel and do whatever else.
-
In lieu of making money doing something that I love, any job that you can do from home or on the move, and once again I could travel or create things in my free time. My life is about half way over (if I even live as long as the average), I want to see new things and be enriched and not be in a workshop or office cubicle for the rest of my life.
-
Once I’ve seen and done and everything I want to see and do and I know that I’m going to be staying in one place for the rest of my life (and if money was no issue), then it would be something related to taking in and caring for animals.
