I mean, Mitch McConnell’s wife is on the board of Kroger. I almost fell like coming up with a list of grocery chains not overrun by fuckery would be more useful

  • This is not a new thing from her, she’s made donations to horrid stuff before. And the headline is phrased in that way because Publix as a brand seems to be trying to distance themselves from her and that she’s not currently in charge of the company and blah blah - but Publix, like most decently sized companies, donates to Republican politicians.

Just because you are born out of a rich vagina doesnt mean you are smart.

Publix is a pain in the ass to use anyway. It’s a great sandwich place but the whole “grocery store” theme is too much.

      Why?

For me Publix is way more convenient. Just gotta pay a premium

I have 3 Publix’s all within 15 minutes of me, only 1 Kroger and the Kroger is always packed and out of what I need

Well you try buying groceries somewhere that doesn’t completely suck for one reason or another.

At least at Publix I can get groceries and a tasty sandwich without hating the whole experience, so long as I simply don’t remember that a small portion of my money ends up going to shit like this.

    Edit: I don’t have a Costco nearby

Keep in mind that she doesn’t have much of anything to do with Publix AFAIK. I believe it’s an employee owned company and (from what I’ve heard) they treat their employees right.

That being said it’s way too fucking expensive to shop there these days. I mostly get subs, hot case, etc from there.
