  • I very much identify with this.

So, I’ll start by identifying as being homeschooled. I am a fairly attractive guy, I’m also very nice and curtious. I’m open emotionally and try to make everyone feel welcome. When I was younger, I definitely accidentally led on a couple of guys. I thought I was getting invited over because I thought I must be such a cool guy. Turns out he wanted my weiner. I did not oblige him… with all do respect.

I used to go to 80s night at the local gay club all the time. Usually, I always had a good time. I certainly had offers, and that crowd has no shame. But I never had a desire to experiment.

I’ve always only shown love. It’s not my place to judge.

I have my own beliefs about that kinda thing though. It’s inadvisable, undesirable, incompatible, intendable, untenable, degrading, disturbing, disgracing, and wrong. Sorry.

  • Isn’t this stupid? No one paints actual eggs anymore anyway.

I don’t have to even open the article to know it’s going to have political opinions all over. I’m sure it will mention Trump negatively, directly or indirectly blaming him somewhere.

Ok, i just skimmed it, and it’s a Canadian source/author, so immediately political and comparisons being made.

This article uses the supposed story of “people are painting potatoes(and other things) because eggs are expensive.” OK, cheap/creative people have been doing that forever. You hide plastic eggs cuz you put candy inside. You don’t hide real cooked/uncooked eggs. Or potatoes or marshmallows.

The story this article is selling reads between the lines. The articles headlines are deceiving as such. It’s trying to sell you something, and you’re probably buying it.

  • Don’t speak truth into the echo bunker.

Most of reddit is 1 big echo chamber. And guess what, lemmy is even worse! They are both liberal echo chambers. Conservatives, Christians, and other such group try to carve out a spot for them selves in these online social arenas, places they should be welcome, but that’s not the case.

Being in an “out group” on the internet is very hard. Anonymous assholes are able to terrorize people.
