Also the communication is great. I would say maybe even the best of all distros. They do a report like this every week regrading software updates and what is happening around Solus: https://discuss.getsol.us/d/12033-solus-update-post-for-week-42-2025

Not at all. This distro works really well for some time now. I mean the people around it changed and they changed the organisation structure, not depending on one person like it was before. If you are interested here is what has changed in 2023 to not be in same situation again: https://getsol.us/2023/04/18/a-new-voyage/

Games@lemmy.world•Many developers leave GZDoom due to leader conflicts and fork it into UZDoomEnglish
3·23 days agoI meant using AI for example for refactoring purposes or giving it some small tasks or questions. Not building whole projects with AI, because it is unmaintainable.

13·23 days agoI don’t understand why there is such a drama around using AI while developing. Everyone I know does that. Of course it doesn’t mean that I copy-paste the code from ChatGPT. But at the same time it is often useful and faster than Googling on Stack-Overflow… Someone even said there that developers using AI will have legal problems in future… I really don’t think so, because it is the AI provider responsibility to train it on data provided freely for this purpose. I’m against stealing data and brainslessly using AI, but at the same time the AI is here and you can’t ignore it.

Games@lemmy.world•Gen Z Is Cutting Back On Video Game PurchasesEnglish
27·3 months agoI also didn’t really buy many games until I had proper salary. 🤷🏻♂️ Some of gen-Z are still pretty young and they are just poor students…
It works fine until it doesn’t … Some of the plugins were working fine but for example Line 6 Helix Native doesn’t… Also Yabridge stopped working for me few months ago because the developer didn’t have time to update some dependencies. 🤷🏻♂️
I would say the biggest problem is the music production on Linux. Especially VSTs - those are still hit or miss. And unfortunately the DAWs you mentioned doesn’t have Linux support.
For example I was really trying to do music for several years on Linux, but in the end I gave up and now I’m dual booting Windows… 😿
I think he used this one in multiple variations. But I love that one too. Pretty much a good meme material. 😁
It’s a pitty. I love Extrafabulous comics. And I was thinking people would like it here. Even so his humour could be kinda weird. 😇

2·3 months agoIdk… I just played Phasmophobia yesterday with friends and had a lot of fun. 🤷🏻♂️ So its only about people decision for what they want to spend their money.
And I’m here just for memes… Maybe another meme group without so much political content would be better suited for me. 🤷🏻♂️

It is terrible to see so many comments here celebrating communism. Communists were ruining our country (Czechia) for over 40 years and led it to economical collapse. When we tried to reform the regime in 1968, the Russians invaded to stop it. Communism doesn’t really work, and it has already been proven.
Also, I have to say the country worked in a bizzare way. The government robbed everyone of their property, so in return, people were stealing from public supplies.
So please try to study something first about communism in Eastern Europe before you start to celebrare this regime.
