  • “Obviously, I don’t know all of his ideas, but let me tell you about two that are incredible,” answered Huang. “The first one is utterly visionary. The idea of tariffs being a pillar of a bold vision to re-industrialize to onshore manufacturing and motivate the world to invest in the United States is just an incredible vision.”

Huang is not an idiot, so the fact that he sounds like a massive one here (clearly forgetting that this isn’t Trump’s vision, but Hawley-Smoot’s back in the 20s. Clearly forgetting how that turned out. And then using the word “vision” over and over) means that he’s obviously just making money hand over foot from this deal.

My question is how. Did Taiwan (yes, it was listed as a separate country in the tariff chart) get a specific microprocessor exemption? Or is he just banking that people are going to buy gpus no matter what because of AI/crypto?

  • The problem with this article is that he stresses that you need to check the code and step in when needed - yet relying heavily on LLMs will invariably make it impossible for you to tell what’s wrong and eventually how to even read the code (since it will produce code using libraries you never experimented with because the LLM can just write the code).

Also “vibe-coding” is stupid af. You take out the human element altogether because you just accept all changes without reading them and then copy/paste errors back in without any context.
