What faux-profundity is on display here? Sometimes people just talk. Sometimes this includes observations. Kinda like what you did with your comment. I don’t understand why you’re bringing hate to a tea chat, but I suppose it can be good to get off your chest.
I saw that disgusting comment at the bottom. He is a caricature businessman from a Verhoeven movie. We’ve reached what was supposed to be over-the-top satire.

As a PM who tries to not waste anyone’s time, thank you. I’ve had pushback before from people who don’t like to do the talking, but I would only call that person forward if it’s going to prevent a ton of headaches all around. Sometimes it’s difficult to explain that. Otherwise I have no problem being the punching bag on stage. It’s my job.

Column 2 status would absolutely make sense if we weren’t talking about an administration that slapped tariffs on penguins.
Russia still has billions in trade with the US, far more than any of the other three in column 2 and far more than the vast majority of trade partners assigned tariffs. The tariffs were assigned with a simple trade deficit calculation that Russia was spared. If anything, that this administration is so eager to “get even” that it slaps tariffs on penguins while missing one of its largest trade deficits says more about their lack of attention to detail than anything else.
Google search feels like it has stopped being the magic it was. Now whenever I search for something I might not find it underneath all the stuff on sale. For the first time in I don’t know how many years I’ve been finding myself using something else like Duck Duck Go.
Trump followed a consistent, rigid math: Whatever the trade deficit, then that’s the tariff applied… except for Russia. Russia is #23 on our list of trade partners. Following the math they should have a hefty tariff applied, but they don’t. It’s the only exception.

A machine that needs to be constantly fed by fear of “the other” until it inevitably eats itself. Very much tied to a false notion of simple answers to complex problems, unhealthy national pride, an obsession with displays of strength, and an unwavering victim complex.

As an American, we are all going to suffer and the earlier the better. Time and time again we see that the only way Trump supporters change is if they are personally affected. Thus we all need to pay in order to see change.
