Linux Phones@lemmy.ml•What actively maintained main daily driver options do we even have nowadays?
1·24 days agoSony Xperia 10 (2 to 5th gen) with Sailfish OS. Closest to daily driveable linux phone as one can get. Requires a paid license for using Android apps, unfortunately. However all hardware works as intended with full calls, camera and biometrics support. Need to note that there are some closed source and proprietary components, so if you are a militant ethical purist - this is not for you.
I apologize, but what do you really need to do - get things done, or practice ethically pure masochism?
I can fully recommend HP Elite x2 1012 G2. Might be a bit old, but Linux works just out of box. Tested on both Elementary OS 7 and recently on Fedora 42
I suppose Shiori could be a good tool in this case. It is a single executable app, has CLI and web interface, and works relatively OK with creating offline archives of pages.

People Twitter@sh.itjust.works•US Military never really trained for these types of dog and pony shows
256·5 months agoI am surprised at how many people do not get it. In military you cannot not comply with the orders, especially whan there is clearly nothing criminal with it. The guys doing sloppy marching is pretty much the only agency they have and the only way to protest and boycot that ridiculous parade.

Did not try to install BankID on Sailfish yet. Does it work OK for you?
