    But do not include all the nutrients your body needs for a long and healthy life.

    There sure are worse options than beans though.

      They don’t? Are you sure?

      I feel like beans are one of the few foods that do include all the nutrients you need.

      It’s like them and quinoa.

          Interesting, what does rice have that beans don’t?

          I’ve always understood beans to be one of the very few foods that include everything.

          Fat, protein, carbs, all the vitamins

                  I grew up with freezer bags of cooked rice from my parents.

                  Seems a little crazy considering how easy and quick it is to cook rice.

                  I wonder what the advantages are.

                  The only one I know of is that if you want to cook fried rice, it’s way better if you have it in the fridge overnight because it dries out a little and then it soaks up all the flavors when you cook it the next day.
