Being serious for a moment I just want to point out the irony in using the threat of male violence as an excuse to uphold patriarchy rather than a rational for dismantling it.
To be fair, gender neutral bathrooms do give a predator opportunity to follow a woman into a bathroom without sending immediate red flags. It’s a hard pass from me.
I suspect it is because as other commentors mention is this poses risks for Trans people outing themselves. I see gender neutral bathrooms regularly at events and not just 1 stall either. So I hardly consider this a controversial take especially when the existing rules lead to jail time if you follow or dont follow it.

Yup Thats my point. Keep women bathroom as is. Open up the “biological male” bathrooms to everyone.
