Another backhanded “positive action” comment is “I’m going to give that the attention it deserves” and nine times out of ten it will be absolute fucking rot so no, that’s going to the bottom of the list. Cheers though.

        I use it a lot.

It’s corporate speak for please shut up and listen to me because you’re conjuring bullshit straight out of your ass.

        Example

customer: I don’t want to do x thing for y reason because it could cause issue a issue b issue c etc

Me: with all due respect sir, I believe you may be conflating possible issue z with issue x. Fortunately we do not have to worry about issue x because of reason. Furthermore, even if issue x happened, this would be the result of that failure and it would create issue d or issue e or even issue f but not issue a or b or c.

Once told a boss “with all due respect, and I do mean all the respect you’re actually due in this moment, I won’t be doing that”

I’ve used it exactly once in my career.

Had a senior officer who was trying to get involved in my departmental business about a disciplinary issue . As the next highest ranking in the space, I said “Due respect Sir, I believe the Chief and the POs have the matter in hand, however, I did wish to ask your opinion on the new training schedule?”
