Thanks! I still have some work to do but it’s coming along nicely.

Yatta and the related flash animation comes to mind. There was a period in the mid 2000s where every anime con had a group of buff nearly naked guys wearing nothing but a leaf as tribute.
Two years, and I had to wear headgear. Not sure if that’s still a thing, but it was a big metal contraption that went around your whole head. The pain was unbearable and I had no social life from how weird it looked.
That sounds absolutely amazing. Adding it to my reading list.
Rereading Ender’s Game. I had first read it when camping years ago and somehow misplaced it when I was 5 pages from the end of the book. I was so salty about it that I never picked up another copy to finish it until now.
I think it’s good that I waited because the political B plot hits home with the state of the world today.
Edit: I finished the book tonight. I was not prepared for that kind of trauma.
The title is intriguing. What’s it like?
Traveling to hang out with my old college besties, then a pride festival
Zoos are awesome! Share some pics later.
Exactly the same here, minus the wife. If I make it to 9pm without being in bed it’s a miracle. I wake up with the sunrise and get tired at sunset.
I played Dr. Robotnik’s Mean Bean Machine for the first time in over 20 years. I never managed to beat it when I was younger but I blew right through it in an hour this time around, even with arthritic hands. Feels good.
Your area doesn’t have farmers markets in warmer months? It’s usually an outdoor area where farmers set up booths and you can get everything in one spot. I buy all of my seasonal veggies this way, and I’m gonna keep an eye out for honey next time I go.
Gasoline sitting in a tank goes bad in 6 months. Even with a stabilizer you’re only looking at 2 years before degradation is an issue. I’d think an EV with solar would last longer even with battery degradation to worry about.
No. 34 million current gamepass subscribers. 40% of Xbox gamers are from US, so roughly 13.6 million subs in the US. There’s 131 million US households, thus 1 in 10.
40% of Xbox gamers are from the US. The US has 132 million households. That means that roughly 1 in 10 US households currently has a Gamepass sub. Hope that puts it into perspective.
PS Plus is closer to Xbox Live than Xbox Gamepass. Xbox Live had 40-50 million subs at the time in 2020.
Presently Xbox Live has 120 million users vs 33 million PS Plus Essentials subscribers. Gamepass has 34 million subs vs 14 million higher-tier PS Plus subs. Even if we drop Nintendo into the mix, Gamepass has an equal number of subs to Nintendo Online members. Seems like they’re doing just fine.
They hit 10 million subs 5 years ago. Not sure what your definition of “lots” is…
Amazing how I’ve been hearing the same thing since the service released 8 years ago. Will it eventually get shitty? Probably. But in the meantime it’s a phenomenal value.
If you hand someone a sharp object like a knife or scissors you will soon get into an argument. Gotta set it on the table for them to retrieve instead.
Ground beef prices are wild. I’ve been finding occasional good sales on ground turkey, sometimes even $1.99/lb. I use it as a substitute for ground beef in tacos and such, and it works well enough.
Displate. I buy one for each FF game I’ve beaten.
