Lots of folks saying “why don’t you just dry and put your dishes away?” but I have this exact model and use it mainly for storage. Zero cabinet space in my tiny kitchen. With this I can actually own enough plates and bowls to feed guests!
I’m so used to seeing difficult to read text in captchas that my brain didn’t even register the giant “79” at first and started with the squished characters. Guys, I think my model is overfitted…
It’s super important in Japan where jam packed trains are common during rush hours. They typically announce in Japanese and English, and may even have a visual displayed.
Squid: “Nobody at home’s ever gonna believe this.”
First I just want to say, that is a damn beautiful website. No ads, no popups, just pure information.
And second, as a former back end developer who has spent a huge amount of time working on input sanitization and building database schemas, that list gave me mild PTSD for a job I have never even had.
It would be really fun to see a modern mockup of the world he envisioned for 2014. Elevated moving sidewalks with benches, transparent cubical 3D displays, automated kitchen and glowing wall panels.
Great. Now I’m unsure of how to pronounce database as well.
I haven’t even tried the application yet, but that website is pretty damn cool!
Simply being reminded that this video exists never fails to brighten my day.
Somethin’ like a fish.
I’m assuming this only makes sense when the client can do something useful with an incomplete json object. I wonder how much extra overhead this would require on both the server and client side.
One of my favorite people! If you’re at all interested in computer graphics, math, fractals, or art, you should really check out his work on shadertoy.com. The hundreds of projects he has shared there are an incredible educational tool, not to mention many are just jaw-droppingly beautiful. Here’s a link to one I particularly enjoy.
One time while reading on my phone in bed with the lights turned off a single solitary firefly-like point of light appeared and drifted across my field of vision. It had depth, so I know it wasn’t a phenomenon originating just in one eye, and wasn’t constrained to the screen. There is also a zero percent chance it was an actual firefly. My only explanation is that it might have been a hypnagogic hallucination, but I’ve never seen one as bright and clear as this was. Like an ember from a bonfire.
Maybe this only works on certain fish, but if you stop the first long cut just short of the tail you can flip the fillet over and it stays connected to the body, making it easier to hold while you cut the fillet away from the skin.
I was really intrigued by the idea of short “jury duty” sessions with 12 random strangers in which you have to debate and try to come to a consensus on an issue. Disappointed to see it’s just a one-click opinion poll instead.
I feel like sovcit posts are just Mad Libs filled in with random legal and financial vocab.
“TREE(3)” likes got me.
It’s not round, but it’s not flat either!
Dragostea Din Tei by O-Zone, though I think I heard it on NicoNico Douga before it became known as the NumaNuma Song.
